Job summary

Aerotek in Orlando, FL is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a fleet of Freightliner trucks powered by Cummins engines at a brand-new facility. This contract position offers multiple shifts, including 2nd shift training from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with pay in the range of $30.00–$34.00 per hour.

You will diagnose engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, and perform preventative maintenance using diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing brake systems.
• Brake certifications or related credentials.
• Hydraulic repair and maintenance experience.
• Trailer maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Computer literacy and experience using diagnostic software/scanners.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks ranging from 28' to 56' trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on engines, brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, and trailers.
• Utilize diagnostic software and scanner tools to identify mechanical issues.
• Maintain and repair a fleet consisting primarily of Freightliner trucks with Cummins engines.
• Service Toyota forklifts and Crown pallet jacks as needed.
• Complete inspections and document maintenance activities accurately.
• Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

• Sunday - Thursday
• Tuesday - Saturday
• All new hires will train on 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)

Pay

• $30-34 / hour

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
