Overview

Empire Coach Line, a leading provider of Motorcoach transportation, is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel motorcoaches, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and in excellent operating condition. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel motor coaches, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective solutions to repair them
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and regular servicing of motor coaches in compliance with DOT regulations and manufacturer\'s specifications
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent on each task
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
  • Communicate effectively with other mechanics, drivers, and management to ensure efficient and effective repair and maintenance of our fleet
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with experience working on motor coaches or other large vehicles
  • Knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
