Job Overview
We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Odessa, TX location. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly motivated, well organized, a self‑starter with a strong commitment to safety. This mechanic should be a strong teammate, able to work well with fellow mechanics, drivers, and operations personnel.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors and tanker trailers.
- Document and record repair work performed electronically in the vehicle maintenance system.
- Perform road repairs when necessary.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and air‑brake components and systems.
- Perform electrical/electronic diagnostics on tractors and trailers.
- Gas and electrical welding experience preferred.
- Assist plant operations as needed.
- Participate in company safety, training, environmental, and improvement programs.
Additional Job Responsibilities (On‑the‑job Training Provided)
- Perform cryogenic maintenance including repair/replacement of valves, pumps, etc.
- Calibrate pump discharge meters.
- Load trailers.
- Wash fleet equipment.
- Housekeeping.
- Handle inventory for spare tires and fleet equipment parts.
- Handle fleet fuels and lubricants.
- Perform delivery operation environmental and safety tasks.
- Assist plant operations maintenance.
- Opportunity to learn and maintain state‑of‑the‑art tractors and trailers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class A CDL preferred (not required).
- Strong mechanical background with above‑average computer skills.
- Energetic, highly motivated, well organized self‑starter with strong commitment to safety.
- Strong team player able to work well with fellow mechanics, drivers, and operations personnel.
- Solid work history.
- Ability to drive a tractor.
- Welding knowledge and experience.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12‑volt DC circuits.
- Diesel engine troubleshooting and minor repair experience.
- This is a safety‑sensitive position.
