As a Technician at First Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of children who rely on us for their daily transportation in yellow buses.

About the Mechanic Position

Our technicians perform maintenance and troubleshooting to keep our fleet safe and reliable. Typical tasks include:

• Maintaining brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
• Assisting with mobile emergency repairs

Mechanics are subject to DOT drug testing, as mandated for safety-sensitive roles, prohibiting Schedule I drugs, including marijuana.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Interested in making a positive impact in the community
• At least 3 years of experience with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
• Owns a mechanic's tool set
• Eager to grow through ASE testing and certification
