Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician.
  • Completed diesel/automotive certification programs or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment, including troubleshooting.
  • Install and replace parts such as injectors, pistons, and brakes.
  • Advise Service staff on additional repairs needed.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment, including troubleshooting, electrical, and diagnostics
  • Read Repair Orders and perform repairs on trucks, engines, and components
  • Install and replace parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, batteries, and transmissions
  • Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed
  • Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs through test drives
  • Advise the Service staff on additional repairs needed
  • Tag warranty parts and maintain a safe, organized work environment
  • Follow safety procedures and seek assistance when necessary
  • Participate in other projects as assigned
Required Skills
  • Positive attitude, motivated, with mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with brands like International, Isuzu, Ford, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Allison, Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, Kenworth, or Peterbilt
  • 1-2 years minimum experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own a full set of personal hand tools
  • Knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair
  • Completed diesel/automotive certification programs or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with computers and basic applications
  • High School Diploma/GED; vocational or technical certification preferred
