Position Description

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Senior Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in New Stanton, Pennsylvania.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $31.40 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and another $1,750 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: Second shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
• Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, including electrical and AC systems
• Work independently on complex mechanical tasks
• Utilize diagnostic tools and electronic documentation systems
• Mentor junior technicians and support operational activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy-duty vehicle repairs and diagnostics
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire
• All relevant certifications required by location

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass Ryder’s drug test, DOT physical, and background checks
• Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles
