Job description

Position Details

Pay Range: Pay based on experience and Tech level

Hours: Shift days & times vary depending on location

Relocation: Reimbursement available

We are seeking to hire:

• All levels of Diesel Mechanics - Apprentice, Levels I, II, III, and HM183 certified

Position Summary:

This role involves performing general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance and repair techniques for Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles, including tank trailer inspections compliant with FMCSA regulations, is required.

Job Levels and Responsibilities:

• Apprentice: Hands-on training in preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs of commercial vehicles and tank trailers.
• Levels I & II: Proficiency in maintenance software, creating work orders, maintaining records, and assisting in repairs of trucks, tractors, and trailers.
• Level III: Builds on previous duties, qualified for new technology evaluations, diagnosis, and repairs.
• HM183: Builds on Level III duties, certified as a DOT commercial motor vehicle inspector for at least 3 years.

Pay Range:

Dependent on experience and certification levels.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• 1-5 years of heavy-duty vehicle maintenance/repair experience (levels determined by experience and certifications)
• Current or ability to obtain Air Brake Certification and EPA 609 certification
• For HM183: proof of 3-year tank testing inspector experience or 1-year experience under a qualified inspector, with ability to obtain DOT inspector certification through KAG

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; over 50 pounds with assistance
