Staffmark seeks a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) for direct hire in the Lewisville, TX area. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $36.00 per hour based on experience. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available.

The role focuses on diesel engines, hydraulics, mechanical systems and equipment maintenance. Education requires a high school diploma or GED; technical training in diesel mechanics or related field is preferred, with a valid driver’s license.

• Technical school or vocational training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, automotive technology, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Mansioni

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on rental equipment and tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel system issues.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and repair documentation accurately.
• Test equipment functionality and ensure equipment is safe and ready for customer use.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and basic functionality to customers when needed.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup, delivery, and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional maintenance and service duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or vocational training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Experience Requirements

• Experience performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment, vehicles, or rental equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, diagrams, and service manuals.
• Must provide personal tools required to perform the job.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots and appropriate work attire.
