Staffmark Group in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) for direct hire. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs on rental equipment, diagnose diesel, hydraulic, electrical issues, and keep detailed service records.

The schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime available. Strong mechanical skills, OEM schematics literacy, and good communication with customers are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on rental equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel system issues.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and repair documentation accurately.
• Test equipment functionality and ensure equipment is safe and ready for customer use.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and basic functionality to customers when needed.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup, delivery, and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional maintenance and service duties as assigned.

Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) - Direct Hire

Pay: $22.00-$36.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, with overtime available

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or vocational training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

Experience Requirements

• Experience performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment, vehicles, or rental equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, diagrams, and service manuals.
• Must provide personal tools required to perform the job.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots and appropriate work attire.
