Job summary

Firematic Supply Co. in Illinois seeks a hands-on technician to diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. You will work on autos, trucks, and EMS equipment, using up-to-date maintenance methods.

This full-time role from 7:00 to 3:30, Monday–Friday, offers extensive training and a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of diesel engines preferred.
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred.

Job description

WHO WE ARE:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. Perform skilled work in maintaining automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, to include all Fire Division and Rescue (EMS) Division vehicles, including small gas engines and other associated equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Self-starter with positive can-do attitude

Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred

Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year

Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred

ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:00-3:30.

Starting rate $25-35/hr depending on experience and certifications
