Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Kansas City, Missouri.

Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Level Diesel Technician to join our team and support our truck fleet in Kansas City, Missouri. Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $33.75 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 per quarter
• Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends
• Hours: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Second Shift)
• Additional benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid training, paid time off, and more.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy and medium-duty vehicle repairs and diagnostics
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• Must pass Ryder background, drug test, DOT physical, and road test

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance and diagnostics
• Work independently on complex mechanical issues
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine vehicle issues
• Utilize maintenance documentation and systems
• Support safety and compliance guidelines
• Mentor junior technicians
