Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems used in our truck builds and commercial fleet. This position is hands-on and essential to ensuring our equipment and vehicles perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems (brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)

  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with efficiency and accuracy

  • Maintain detailed repair and service records

  • Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to integrate mechanical systems

  • Ensure all repairs meet company and DOT standards

  • Operate tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment safely and responsibly

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (technical training/certification preferred)

  • 3+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience (truck experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and diagnostics

  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

  • Must have own tools and be able to work independently

  • Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
