JNI Hauling LLC in Florissant, MO is seeking a full-time diesel mechanic to maintain and repair tow trucks, semis, and trailers. The role includes performing DOT inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance according to company standards.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of diesel/heavy-duty maintenance experience.
• DOT inspections experience required.
• Experience with Cummins, Paccar, Caterpillar engines.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance on tow trucks, semi tractors, trailers per company standards.
• Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results.
• Repair or replace transmissions, brakes, clutches, engine components.
• Order parts and document corrective actions.
• Ensure a safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Complete FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles as required by regs.
• Address driver vehicle inspection reports promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance on Tow Trucks, semi tractors, trailers and able to complete DOT inspections.
• Provide bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to tow trucks, tractors and trailers as established by company standards
• Performs diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results for resolution.
• Repairs or replaces vehicle transmissions, brakes, clutches, outside engine components and other associated parts.
• Orders parts, communicates status and annotates corrective actions
• Ensures a safe work environment
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Perform FAI/CVI (Annual) (First Article Inspection - Commercial Vehicle Inspection) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment under the guidance of fleet technician II & III or fleet supervisor or manager in accordance with all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies).
• Address all driver vehicle inspection report write-ups timely, efficiently, and correctly

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid US Class A driver's license preferred but not required
• Qualified to perform DOT inspections and follow company preventative maintenance procedures.
• At least 2 years of experience with emissions, aftertreatment systems, electrical, air conditioning, powertrain, hydraulics and suspension systems.
• Experience with PTO's
• Experience with Paccar, Cummins, Caterpillar and other Diessel engines.
• Welding and metal fabricating experience a plus
• Certified on brakes and air conditioning systems
• Experience with tow trucks, tractor, and trailers electrical and hydraulic systems a plus
• Specific experience with Cummins Insite, aftertreatment systems, and diesel scan tools a BIG PLUS

Pay: Based on experience with the opportunity to earn up to $90,000 per year.
