Swift Transportation is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician in Columbus, OH. The role supports a large fleet with OEM training and hands-on development opportunities. Pay ranges from $22 to $33 per hour, based on experience, with a Friday-Tuesday shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and support equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues.
• Troubleshoot and complete repairs from minor to complex.
• Disassemble and reassemble heavy truck components as needed.
• Perform tire maintenance and failure analysis.
• Ensure work meets OEM, DOT, and company standards.

What You'll Do

As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and moving.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment
• Conduct inspections and diagnose mechanical issues
• Troubleshoot and complete minor to complex repairs
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components
• Perform tire repairs, maintenance, and failure analysis
• Ensure all work meets OEM, DOT, and company standards

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening
