D&W Diesel, Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our employee-owned team. The candidate will diagnose diesel engines, repair fuel systems and perform routine maintenance with focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
• Ability to use proper tools and equipment to perform daily mechanical functions.
• Good problem solving skills.
• A collection of appropriate hand tools to work on diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform basic repairs on diesel engines, fuel systems and vehicle drive line components, such as turbo replacement, injector replacement & electrical systems, with efficiency and accuracy.
• Upfitting of hydraulic, pneumatic, and pumping systems on trucks.
• Including installing PTO’s, blowers, and pumps.
• Observe, listen, and follow instructions given by senior technicians.
• Communicate effectively, perform all entry level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Assist with general shop duties.
