Job Description:

The diesel mechanic will maintain and repair diesel trucks, ranging in size from tractors/trailers, heavy duty trucks, and step-vans to pick-up trucks. The mechanic is also responsible for maintaining and repairing the mounted contractor's equipment contained on those vehicles.

Job Details:

Position: Diesel Mechanic

Where: Chicago, IL

Pay: $25-$30 per hour plus overtime (Negotiable based off experience).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain and repair diesel trucks of varying sizes.
  • Maintain and repair contractor's equipment.
  • Maintain and repair gas generators and compressors.
  • Types of equipment will include:
    • Cipp Lining Boiler Trucks
    • SuperVac, Vacall, super products

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work with a team.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • CDL is a plus.
  • Fast and effective work ethic.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to pass safety training exams and the background check required.
  • Safety-conscious, dependable, and quality-minded individual.
