Job summary

Southwest International Trucks in Arlington, TX is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel vehicles, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and repair engines and drive trains to keep our fleet running smoothly.

The role requires at least 3 years hands-on diesel experience, the ability to read manuals and use diagnostic charts, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel mechanics.
• Ability to independently diagnose and repair major components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructional manuals and diagnostic charts.
• Familiarity with computer diagnostics (preferred).
• CDL preferred.
• Ownership of tools and toolbox (rent-to-own program available).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system failures
• Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of component parts and systems
• Repair and adjust engines including CAT, Cummins, Allison, and International
• Service drive trains including Eaton, Meritor, and Spicer
• Install and repair truck and engine equipment
• Utilize welding skills when applicable
• Complete assigned tasks within established timeframes
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Location: Arlington, TX

Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation:$18+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits
