Job summary

Southwest International Trucks in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a full-time position. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose failures, and repair engines and drive trains on diesel trucks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on diesel mechanics experience.
• Ability to independently diagnose and repair major components.
• Proficiency reading manuals and diagnostic charts.
• Familiarity with computer diagnostics (preferred).
• CDL preferred or active CDL eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system failures.
• Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of component parts and systems.
• Repair and adjust engines including CAT, Cummins, Allison, and International.
• Service drive trains including Eaton, Meritor, and Spicer.
• Install and repair truck and engine equipment.
• Utilize welding skills when applicable.
• Complete tasks within established timeframes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Location: Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation: $18+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits

• Ownership of tools and toolbox (rent-to-own program available)
