Job summary

Red Classic in Louisville, KY seeks a Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) to repair and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including trailers and material handling gear. You will work independently with limited supervision and mentor Vehicle Technicians C as needed.

The role requires basic welding, electrical and mechanical diagnostics, tire handling, and inventory management, with a flexible schedule possibly including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge gained through 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain customer vehicles and equipment, including trailers and diesel-powered equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and perform repairs.
• Manage parts inventory, research, resolve discrepancies and notify maintenance management when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse.
• Mentor Vehicle Technicians C as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
• Use maintenance software to record data, ensure DOT compliance and follow up on return orders.
