Job summary

Red Classic in Hanover, MD is seeking a Diesel Maintenance Technician (C) to learn from experienced techs and perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles and equipment, with the goal of independent work over time.

Daily duties include minor repairs, preventative maintenance, tire work, wiring, and inventory support. The role requires a flexible schedule, possibly weekends and holidays, and teamwork with Technicians A and B.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of relevant work experience.
• D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and wear item replacement, including preventive maintenance and lights/wiring work.
• Study under Technicians A and B to gain knowledge for future repairs.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and report discrepancies to maintenance management.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Diesel Maintenance Technician (C)

Job Overview

Vehicle Technician C will work closely with an experienced technician to gain the knowledge and ability by performing maintenance and repairs on all types of customer's vehicles and equipment, to perform job duties independently; learn to recognize potential problems that could result in mechanical failures and, or safety violations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and wear item replacement, including performing preventative maintenance,repairing lights, and replacing wires
• Study under Technicians A and B to complete training and to gaink nowledge for future repairs
• Partner withTechnicians A and B to maintain accurate parts inventory, research, resolve all discovered inventory discrepancies and notify maintenance management when a resolution is not available
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse
• Performother duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Basic knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify major components
• Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair
• Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires
• Ability to diagnose and repair lights and wiring
• Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards
• Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment
• Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors working conditions
• Must be able to work a exible schedule and be able to vary the start and nish times, possibly including weekends and holidays
• Basic computer skills
• Each Technician needs to provide their own tools

Minimum Qualifications
