Job summary

Red Classic is hiring a Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) in Nashville for diesel and fleet repair, including material handling and trailers. You’ll work with limited supervision and may mentor junior technicians.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, DOT brake certification, and a willingness to obtain a DOT medical card. CDL is preferred but not required, with full-time on-site shifts and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• CDL A or B preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain diesel-powered equipment and vehicle fleet, including material handling and trailers.
• Perform duties independently with limited supervision; mentor less experienced technicians as needed.

Diesel Maintenance Technician (B)

Job Overview

Vehicle Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment; perform job duties independently with limited supervision; provide mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C's as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills
• Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills
• Understanding of tire ination systems
• Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires
• Basic diagnostic tool skills
• Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
• Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards
• Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers
• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment
• Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors working conditions
• Must be able to work a exible schedule and be able to vary the start and nish times, possibly including weekends and holidays
• Basic computer skills
• Each technician needs to provide their own tools

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Ability to obtian a DOT medical card
• Commercial Drivers License A or B Prefferd but not required
