Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms, pumps, and HVAC systems.

You will join a safety-focused, fast-paced team with opportunities to develop new career skills in service or operations management. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work safely to minimize downtime across a diverse fleet (aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC, etc.).
• Follow priorities in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety protocols.
