Job summary

Signal Energy Constructors in Houston, TX is seeking a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of construction machines. This role requires hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to read schematics.

You will perform DOT inspections, complete work orders daily, and help train junior technicians while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections.
• Experience with maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficient with reading manuals, prints and schematics.
• Own assortment of tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on all company equipment including both rented and leased as needed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and components.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts as needed.
• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements and safety practices.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance when required.
