Job summary

Inchcape Motors Finland Oy in Guam seeks a Generator Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel or gas-powered generator equipment both in the workshop and on customer sites. You’ll work with engines and electrical systems, perform maintenance, and deliver high-quality service.

The role requires 2–3 years of generator experience, a technical certification, and a valid driver’s license. Base access may be required and tools must be provided by the applicant.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification in mechanical services or related field preferred.
• Two to three years of generator maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• Experience with controllers, alternators, engine systems, and diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain DBIDS/Rapid Gate base access.
• Must provide basic personal tools required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gas-powered generators in the workshop or field.
• Perform overhauls and repairs on controllers, alternators, engines, and electrical systems.
• Inspect equipment, identify root causes of failures, and determine required parts.
• Complete preventative maintenance, servicing, and emergency field repairs as needed.
• Accurately complete work orders, timecards, and jobs within quoted labor hours.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop, service truck, and tool inventory.
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to clients.
