Lexicon in Blytheville, AR is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance on forklifts and diesel equipment. You will interpret manuals, troubleshoot electrical, brake, and hydraulic issues, and ensure safety inspections before returning gear to the floor.

The role requires reading schematics, mechanical drawings, and the ability to work independently in a non-climate controlled outdoors environment, with potential overtime and weekend shifts.

Formación

• Two years of mechanical background working on forklifts and diesel engines.
• Certificate of welding ability is preferred.
• Must have all required hand tools.
• Able to work in time sensitive and sometimes stressful situations.
• Able to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine breakdowns.
• Able to work independently and follow directions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance on forklifts and other diesel equipment.
• Interpret the manufacture’s technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot forklift problems including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose, evaluate, and repair mast and attachment components.
• Work knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes.
• Work on propane, gas, and diesel systems.
• Replace broken or defective parts and order replacement parts for major repairs.
• Re-assemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments.
• Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to release to work floor.
• Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, changing shifts as needed.
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment with outdoor exposure.
• Work independently and follow directions.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
