Job summary

AtWork Personnel in Irving, TX is seeking a hands-on Forklift / Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair forklifts, trucks, and mobile equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections while supporting breakdown response to keep equipment operating safely.

The role requires experience with forklifts, diesel trucks, heavy equipment, or industrial gear, plus strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts, diesel trucks, heavy equipment or industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical & hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Able to use diagnostic tools, multimeters and shop equipment.
• Dependable, safety-minded and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain forklifts, trucks & shop equipment.
• Diagnose diesel, natural gas, electrical & hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Repair hydraulic hoses, cylinders, brakes, steering & drivability issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and keep equipment operating safely.
