Qualifications

• 1.5 years of work experience directly related to the area of employment.
• Substitution: one academic year of automotive tech or diesel curriculum may replace six months.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• Class A CDL must be attained within six months of placement.

Responsabilités

• Perform skilled mechanical repairs on electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Repair pneumatic systems, small equipment, tires, and field service calls.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and associated components.
• Weld or fabricate as needed to repair or modify equipment for production needs.
• Follow DHEC regulations for hazardous waste handling and labeling; assist during emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
