Job summary

Mid Valley Disposal in Kingsburg, CA is seeking a skilled Technician II / Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of Class 4–8 diesel and CNG vehicles and heavy equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance and diagnose complex systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on experience, proficiency with diagnostic software (Dossier, Cummins INSITE, PACCAR DAVIE4), and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience or equivalent certifications.
• Experience maintaining and repairing Class 4–8 vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and shop equipment.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on Class 4–8 diesel and CNG trucks and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air brake, steering, and suspension systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and software including Dossier, Cummins INSITE, and PACCAR DAVIE4.
• Review DVIRs and complete necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support fleet uptime and participate in ongoing technical training.
