Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a Fleet Technician B to maintain and repair sedans, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment at or near the Longview Operations Center. Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility and possess strong diagnostic skills across hydraulic and diesel systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of automotive diagnosis experience, and CDL Class A within 12 months. ASE certifications and Fluid Power certification are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience.
• Graduation from an automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and obtain Class A CDL within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies and inspect related components.
• Service and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, motors, valves and cylinders.
• Diagnose and repair A/C units, refrigerant systems and related components.
• Inspect and service differentials, transmissions, and powerdividers.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, organized condition.
• Submit reports and participate in training as assigned.
