American Electric Power is seeking a Fleet Technician with strong automotive diagnosis and diesel repair experience to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. The role requires CDL eligibility, hydraulic expertise, and the ability to work with complex systems in a dynamic environment.

Successful candidates live within 30 minutes of the Longview Operations Center and will perform diagnostic and repair tasks, complete records, and participate in training.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience.
• Graduation from automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair sedans, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment as part of Company fleet.
• Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies and related hydraulic components.
• Inspect and service heating/ventilation, A/C, steering, braking and fuel systems.
• Inspect and repair transmissions, differentials and power dividers.
• Operate Company vehicles and ensure tools and work area are clean and organized.
• Maintain records and submit reports as required.
