Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Medium/Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to support our commercial fleets in keeping them safe and productive.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment while leveraging diagnostic tools and teamwork. CDL is a plus, ASE certifications are welcomed, and career growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel, fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles.
• North Carolina State Inspection Certification is required.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required.
• ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns.
• Work closely with a team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
