Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Asheville, NC is seeking a Medium/Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel trucks, and work with a safety‑minded crew in a well‑equipped shop.

Qualifications

Experience working on diesel, fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles.
Medium- or heavy-duty diesel repair experience preferred.
North Carolina State Inspection Certified.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver's license.
CDL is a plus but not required.
ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns.
Work closely with a team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
