Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Asheville, NC is seeking a Medium/Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair diesel trucks, and work with a safety‑minded crew in a well‑equipped shop.

We offer competitive pay, ongoing training, and a growth‑oriented Career Development program with 35+ years of industry presence. CDL not required but welcomed; NC Inspection certification is required; ASE credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel, fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles.
• Medium- or heavy-duty diesel repair experience preferred.
• North Carolina State Inspection Certified.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns.
• Work closely with a team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
