Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to keep our fleet of school buses in safe, optimal condition by performing repairs and maintenance in line with regulatory standards.

You will diagnose malfunctions, repair electrical, diesel, braking and drivetrain systems, test-drive vehicles, and coordinate inspections and road calls as needed.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of medium/heavy truck fleet experience, a CDL, and ASE certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years medium/heavy truck fleet repair experience.
• Diagnostic, Electrical, and AC skills are a must.
• Valid applicable state license (CDL required). ASE Certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs (electrical, braking, drivetrain, diesel systems, etc.).
• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Arrange inspections and approvals for major repairs before vehicles leave the facility.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work area.
• Identify additional maintenance needs and report to higher-qualified technicians.
• Record time, parts, and repairs performed; perform road calls as needed.
