Job summary

Sysco Foods in Minnesota seeks Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technicians (all levels) to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on a diverse fleet, ensuring safety, reliability and reduced downtime. The role covers inspections, diagnostics, and targeted maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates have medium/heavy duty training, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid license; ASE and HVAC credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck tech training required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school plus 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications preferred, not required; 609 HVAC certification helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulatory requirements.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, drive-line, brakes, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Document all work on work orders and use Sysco computer programs.
• Operate and calibrate diagnostic equipment; maintain tools and safety practices.
