Job summary

Sysco Minnesota is hiring diesel fleet mechanics of all levels to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert repairs on our fleet vehicles. The role includes a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and a 2nd shift (Tue-Fri, 3pm-1:30am) with 4x10s.

Accountabilities include tool allowances and an excellent benefits package. Qualified candidates will handle complex repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and drivetrains, using OEM diagnostics and Sysco software.

Qualifications

• Requires medium/heavy-duty truck tech training and a high school diploma or GED.
• 2-year program plus 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience accepted.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required; 609 HVAC certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual/FAI/CVI inspections per regulations for tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drive-lines, electrical, fuel, exhaust, HVAC, and lift-gate systems.
• Document work on orders and maintain efficiency with Sysco computer programs.
• Possess and use own tools; use OEM diagnostic software for repairs.
