Job summary

Nelson's Bus Service, Inc. in McFarland, WI seeks an automotive technician to support the service division with quality customer service and efficient maintenance of fleet vehicles.

You will perform pre-delivery inspections, vehicle setup, and ongoing maintenance to ensure safety and reliability for customers. Expect to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, repair and document work, and assist teammates while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two-year technical diploma in an Automotive Technology field and one year of related work experience.
• Diesel bus or truck experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems with equipment and vehicles by test driving and diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and fleet as needed.
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections and setup for new buses.
• Document time and materials accurately for billing and recordkeeping.
• Assist other technicians and explain repairs to customers as needed.
