Job summary

Lonergan’s Charter Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Millersville, MD. We offer an indoor shop, overtime, and a stable family-owned environment serving Maryland since 1959.

You will diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, and ensure our heavy-duty buses and commercial vehicles stay safe and road-ready. CDL is not required, but a valid license is essential, and you must provide your own tools.

Qualifications

Experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty fleet technician.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
Experience working on heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
Valid driver’s license required.
CDL is but not required.
Must provide your own industry-appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel buses and commercial vehicles.
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections.
Troubleshoot engine, electrical, air brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, and drivetrain systems.
Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
Work with the maintenance team to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready.
