Job summary

Miller Transportation Group in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our growing truck maintenance team. This full-time position offers hands-on work with Class 1–8 vehicles, rotating schedule Tue–Sat from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and opportunities for career advancement within a family-owned company.

You will diagnose and repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, clutches, and transmissions, using OEM software and standard hand tools.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors.
Preventative Maintenance and Repair experience on diesel tractors.
A valid CDL (Class A or B) is desired.
Hand tools are required for daily diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles.
Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
Replace clutches & transmissions
