Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) in Smyrna, TN is hiring Fleet Mechanics to keep our fleet of mixer trucks and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role covers diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components across a busy fleet.

We welcome entry-level candidates and provide on-the-job training; proven diesel mechanic or heavy equipment experience is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to obtain CDL preferred.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines and electrical/hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on mixer trucks and support gear.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of service and repairs and coordinate with operations.
• Adhere to safety policies and complete SRM pre-employment screenings.
