Job summary

Ranger Energy Services seeks a Mechanic to repair and maintain diesel engines and related systems powering our fleet of trucks and trailers in North Dakota. The role requires DOT compliance knowledge and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with work performed in office and shop settings.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience, a clean driving record, and a customer-service oriented, team-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of relevant work experience as a mechanic.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• DOT compliance knowledge is required.
• Must be a team player and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Performs annual inspections on trucks, trailers, and pickups.
• Repairs and preventive maintenance services.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs all DOT inspections to ensure fleet is safe and roadworthy.
• Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Estimates repair times and manages parts requisitions.
• Performs emergency breakdown service and safety checks.
• Completes documentation including DOT reporting and vehicle inspections.
