Job summary

US Foods in Albany, Georgia seeks a Mechanic responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fleet road equipment, including tractors and trailers. The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, be able to work overtime, and possess their own tools. This unpaid internship is for active-duty service members eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Prior experience with Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
• Complete documentation of all repair orders and PM list.
