Two years of experience in gasoline/diesel mechanic, heavy equipment, or small engine repair.
Must possess and maintain own tools.

Responsibilities

Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems on county vehicles.
Service vehicles according to established routine maintenance.
Perform complex repairs on county vehicles and heavy equipment (brakes, engines, transmissions, electrical and A/C).
Provide roadside assistance.
Perform general maintenance on diesel engines, light trucks and heavy equipment.
Maintain service logs and records.
Keep work area clean and tidy.
Perform related work as assigned.
