Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) to maintain and repair complex rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will support customers daily and have opportunities to advance in the Service Department.

This role requires 3-5 years of repair experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. You’ll travel to customer sites and contribute to training other technicians while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and strong engine knowledge.
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and organized.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork on work orders in a complete and timely manner.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
