Job summary

Wagner CAT Rentals is hiring a Rental Diesel Technician to support service and repair of Caterpillar rental equipment. You will learn the work order system, document parts and repairs, and work with shop leads to ensure timely, safe maintenance of units.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus a technical diesel-focused credential and relevant repair experience. The job offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay rates based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a technical school with emphasis on diesel engine preferred.
• Heavy equipment, engine, or mechanic repair experience.
• 1+ years administrative/clerical experience.
• 1+ years customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and uses the work order system and completes parts orders accurately.
• Communicates effectively with Shop Leads, Coordinators and Managers to relay repair status.
• Inspects equipment and maintains it to ensure safe operation.
• Understands operation, specifications, and controls of rental equipment per manufacturer guidance.
• Assists in repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance as directed by supervision.

Education
