Job summary

ByVerTek, LLC seeks a Diesel Mechanic based in Mesa, AZ to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, automotive systems, and forklifts across warehouse and construction sites. You will collaborate with operations to schedule preventive maintenance and prioritize repairs, ensuring safety and uptime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and proven experience with diesel engines, automotive systems, and forklift maintenance, plus familiarity with task management software and a DOT

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Proven experience with diesel engines, automotive systems and forklift maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for construction/warehouse equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Valid DOT license and ability to operate forklifts safely.
• Experience using task management software (e.g., Monday.com, Asana) to track work orders and priorities.
• Clear written and verbal English communications.
• Ability to prioritize workload across teams and deadlines.
• Capable of maintaining accurate records and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, automotive vehicles, and forklifts.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs using digital work orders and task management systems.
• Collaborate with warehouse and construction teams to schedule preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Ensure equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements before returning to service.
• Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.
• Operate material handling equipment and load/unload pallets as needed.
• Use Microsoft 365 tools to manage scheduling and document repairs.
