Job summary

Litman Excavating Inc in West Virginia is seeking an experienced diesel or equipment Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will perform general preventative maintenance on dump trucks, vacuum trucks, tractors, and other equipment, and help diagnose faults using onboard systems and shop tools.

This role emphasizes reliability and willingness to learn from Senior staff. Candidates should have at least one year of verifiable experience in a shop, manufacturing, or industrial setting

Qualifications

• One year of verifiable experience in a shop, manufacturing, or industrial role that would have transferable knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicles.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from Senior staff.
• Punctual attendance.
• Have your own tools or be willing to purchase them as needed.

Responsibilities

• General preventative maintenance on dump trucks, vacuum trucks, tractors, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting faults indicated by onboard systems, drivers or other personnel.
• Perform authorized warranty work on new fleet vehicles (no previous certification needed).
• Use shop provided scan tools to assist in diagnosing faults.
