Job summary

Solid Waste Services of West Virginia, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Proctor division in Proctor, WV. You will diagnose, repair and maintain trucks and construction equipment, following manufacturer specifications and safety practices.

Requirements include a diesel tech degree or equivalent, ability to read manuals, basic computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience.
Read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
A valid driver’s license and ability to operate safely.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks and construction equipment per manufacturer specs.
Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts to complete repairs.
Adhere to warranty policies and safely resolve problems.
Disassemble and reassemble major assemblies and systems as needed.
Handle special projects as assigned.
