Job summary

HOLT CAT in Longview, TX seeks an Engine Shop Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered or natural gas industrial engines and components. You will work independently or with a team, following established procedures to meet customer needs and departmental goals.

The role is mid-level with 4+ years experience, offers onsite work in the Power Systems Division, and requires ability to read schematics, operate tools and lifting equipment, mentor others, and maintain safety

Qualifications

Four or more years of diesel or natural gas engine experience.
Ability and knowledge to read/use schematics and diagrams – experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent – preferred.
Graduation from a diesel technology program – preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots and diagnoses industrial diesel and natural gas engines.
Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer's specifications using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling.
Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.
Mentors and helps train other technicians.
Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition.
