Job summary

Phoenix Technical Solutions is seeking a Factory Support Engineer to support GE Transportation's diesel engine production, focusing on the assembly and testing of medium speed engines in Grove City, PA.

You will create and maintain manufacturing instructions, support tooling and process improvements, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and safe, reliable engine output.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with technical documentation (SOPs, specifications).

Responsibilities

• Site point of contact for supporting assembly and testing of medium speed diesel engines.
• Interface with customer departments to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
• Lead, execute and coordinate manufacturing initiatives on cost savings and reliability.
• Collaborate on design for manufacturing processes, PFMEA, and change management.
• Set project priorities with factory and process engineering teams.
• Prepare change documents for disassembly and assembly processes.
• Support shop floor initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Support MRB decisions for qualifying non-conformative material.
